This is a short course that focuses on the intersections between cyber-security and lock picking. By the end of the course you will have a deep understanding of security systems (both mechanical and digital) and will have the skills start your own journey into the world of lock-sport

BREAKING PADLOCKS

Course Objectives

THE WORLD OF SECURITY

    By the end of the course each student will have a fundamental understanding of how digital and physical security systems in the world around them works.

LOCKPICKING

By the end of the course each student will be able to pick locks with standard pins (The Master No. 2) and understand how more advanced security measures feel and why they work.

CYBERSPACE

By the end of the course students will know the main flaws in online security, be able to break simple encryption, and will understand how to write their software with security in mind and will have written code that can solve word ciphers.

CURRICULUM

This course is broken up into bite size lessons that combine video tutorials with supplementary reading and advised hands on demos. By following the lessons in order and by completing the assignments at your own pace you will have a solid background in the world of security.
